Increasing the Page Rank of a Site

PageRank is what Google uses to determine the importance of a web page. It’s one of many factors used to determine which pages appear in search results.
PageRank was developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford. PageRank measure’s a web page’s importance. This makes sense, because people do tend to link to relevant content, and pages with more links to them

PageRank is one of many factors that determines where your web page appears in search result ranking, but if all other factors are equal, PageRank can have significant impact on your Google rankings.

We can use Google Toolbar to find the Page Rank of a page.

Few ways to Increase the page rank: 

Provide Relevant, Quality and Unique Content, Update the content regularly, provide metadata, follow google guidlines and plan using Google Adwords and Keyword planner , add few relavant words called keyword phrase rather than single keywords, focus on keyword density by avoiding repetition, links on social netwroking sites, more of internal and inbound linking, keep graphics user friendly by adding alt tags, create back links.

» Build backlinks on high PR pages and wait for the PR update.
» Internal linking works too.
» Putting fresh content regularly would also be too helpful for increasing page rank of a website.
» Submit you websites to various directories, try to get as many outbound links as possible from good PR sites.
» Do a linkbuilding campaign
» The page rank of the website is connected with the authoritativeness of the website. It is important to post informative content internal and through the external sources as well in order to improvise on the page rank.
